Atlantic Halibut (Hippoglossus hippoglossus): is a species of fish in the flatfish family with both eyes on the same side both located on the right side of its head (dextral fish), the left side blind and unpigmented facing the ground. Its body is elongated, its lateral line strongly arched in the pectoral region, its mouth wide, its teeth curved and its tail concave. The color of its right flank (upper flank) varies from greenish gray to dark brown while its left flank ranges from white to pale gray. This fish, whose size and weight vary enormously from one specimen to another (usually around 1 meter in length and between 3 and 50 kilograms), is the largest flatfish in the world, weighing up to 300 kilograms and its size can exceed 2.5 m.
