What is Peaky Blinders?
PEAKY BLINDERS is a British television series created by Steven Knight and originally broadcast on 12 September 2013 on BBC Two and then on BBC One since 25 August 2019, for the fifth season.
What does this series present to us as a story?
This series traces the epic story of a family of Birmingham gangsters from 1919. It is based on the story of the Peaky Blinders gang that actually existed just after the First World War. (Their name comes from the fact that they used to hide razor blades in the visor of their caps). This group, led by the ambitious and dangerous Tommy Shelby, attracts the attention of Chief Inspector Chester Campbell, a Royal Irish Police detective under Winston Churchill, who was sent from Belfast to cleanse the city of all its criminals.
