Max Out is a dramatic series that follows the life of Max, an ambitious athlete from Birmingham who aspires to become a champion in his sport. The story takes place in Max's hometown, where he must face the pressure of competition and external expectations, as well as his relationship with his girlfriend Marie and his close friends and family. Max must juggle the demands of his family, including his military father in the special forces, his best friend Michael, his rival and friend Liam, his mother Karen, and his mentor, Coach Davis. All of this takes place in the dynamic context of Birmingham, a city that regularly hosts major sporting events such as the Birmingham Marathon and the World Indoor Athletics Championships, and is also home to world-renowned football and cricket clubs. As Max becomes the best in his discipline and more famous, he hopes that Birmingham will also be known for its high level of powerlifting.
